X-Men Origins Wolverine Review (may contain mild spoilers)

Of course I had high expectations. Who wouldn't? Maybe people who saw the rotten tomatoes rating. Or who just don't like X-Men. Whatever your expectations are/were, let me tell you that I was excited. Did it pay off?

The film starts out when Wolverine is like 10 or 12 or something. After a devastating scene, we find Wolverine and his brother Sabretooth on the run, eventually to join the army. The army scenes were epic, and the beginning of the movie was well done. Although the kid actor for Wolverine wasn't great, he isn't in the movie much at all. Of course, Hugh Jackman did spectacular throughout the movie, as he always does. No surprises here.

Wolverine then becomes part of a special government team of mutants, when he later finds out that William Stryker and the rest of his team (at least most of the team) or cold blooded killers. Wolverine doesn't want to be apart of it. He leaves the team-and his brother Sabretooth.

Wolverine tries to live a "quiet life", but when he finds out someone is killing everyone on the old team, he is approched by William Stryker.

Yah know what-I'm basically telling the entire movie to you! I'll juts say the the story only gets better. And better. AND BETTER.

One disappointment is the special effects. Actually, they were great-except for one scene. Wolverine is looking at his new claws. And his claws up close look aweful. Like a cartoon. Otherwise, the special effects were amazing, like the helicopter scene (I won't give it away).

This movie is not your average X-Men. No, it is something more. This is the best X-Men movie out of all of them.

This movie introduces some old mutants from the comics never before seen in a feature film, like Gambit and Deadpool. We also get to see Cyclops as a teenager, and of course, Xavier himself. Although there are plenty of mutants, this movie still seems to be about Wolverine, and unlike what the Chicago Tribune said, he is not overcrowded out of his movie.

The action sequences were fantastic. The story was well-written, and the movie just was amazing. Really, best movie of the year so far (although it's not even Summer yet!) even past Knowing. A
